The best time from Races 3  & 4 of the cancelled  “Boscombe Winter 5k Series”  were due to be the Poole Runners 5k Club Championships events. Due to the cancellation of the series this race will now be held in Poole Park. 7:00pm start.  The  replacement is just for Poole Runners. No payment at point of entry, but just £2 on number collection.

This race will organised under full UK Athletics Road Race guidelines and have both a race permit and course measurement certificate to allow times to be displayed on the Power of 10 site.

The course is fast, straight, and flat, giving competitors the opportunity for fast times to be recorded and included in national rankings.

• The event will have a UKA “Road ” licence and the results will be published on Power of 10.
• Start  Poole Park near the pavilion .
• One heat at 7:00pm
• Trophies will be awarded to male and female age category winners plus the overall winners. It hoped that presentations will be made on the night on .
• Age categories for the Club 2024 5k Championship will be as 12th March 2024 and results sent to “Power of 10”
• Full results will be posted on our website on the morning of the 13th March.
• Minimum age 14 year years on 12th March.
• Entries to open on 15th Jan via the Clubs on-line entry site. Open to paid up members (first, social and second claim) as of that date. No payment at this stage.
• However due to Licence Fees, Pavilion hire and Trophy costs an we ask for for a payment of just £2, from seniors (18 years plus) when numbers are collected on race night.
• Age Categories, both male and female are :- 14-16, 17-20, 21-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 plus (fourteen categorise)
• Maximum of 100 entrants
