This is for payment of Poole Runners 18 & over membership fees.

This page is for payment of club subscriptions for Wessex Cross Country.

Once the payment has been submitted, please complete the online runner declarations. This can either be done by a team manager in bulk (10 entries at a time), or by getting runners to individually enter their own details (recommended).

Please join us on Saturday 4th December 7 pm until midnight, for the annual Poole Runners Christmas Party for a wonderful night of festive food, great company, our club award presentations and then dancing till midnight.

This year the party will again take place at the RNLI College in Poole. There are rooms available in the college if you want to stay the night, or there is a Travelodge next door!

Tickets are subsidised by the club and will cost £35 – this includes a glass of Prosecco on arrival and 1⁄2 a bottle of house wine.

Tables are for 10 people – so if you want to sit with specific people, then please specify on the form…

PLEASE NOTE: The initial subsidised tickets are only for Poole Runners members and their partners. Non-subsidised tickets for non-members and friends will be available (subject to availability) at a later date.

The RNLI are happy to accommodate any special dietary requirements – please speak to Carole Ingham for more details.

VENUE: South-West XC Championships at RNAS Merryfield
DATE: 2nd January 2022

This year our Cross Country Championships will be hosted at the South-West XC Championships and you will also need to register and pay using the following link to enter that race, as well as paying the County Champs fee to DCAA.

The DCAA costs include a contribution to the cost of medals and transactions fees and other costs.

Information to enter the County Champs:

ENTRY FEE: £3.00
CLOSING DATE: 22nd December 2021 BY MIDDAY

Runners should note that the County XC is being run alongside a Match of the Wessex League and the South West XC Championships and if runners fail to enter the championships they will not be considered for a medal even if they finish within the top 3 in their respective races.

1. To compete in the DCAA Championships competitors must:
A. have been born in Dorset, or mother normally domiciled in the County at that time
OR B. have lived continuously in Dorset for at least 9 months preceding the event
OR C. have been serving in a unit of H.M. forces stationed in Dorset for at least nine months preceding the event.
(Note: boarding school and service unit athletes are requested to indicate their Home Address County on the entry form as only those athletes who are resident in Dorset are eligible to compete for the County) If you are unsure of your eligibility please contact the Championship Secretary.
OR D. be a student in residence at a School, College or University in Dorset
AND E. not have competed in the championships of, or represented at Inter-County Championships, a county other than Dorset since 1 st October 2021.

2. A competitor may only compete in one age group and in combined events will only be eligible for an award in the age group in which he or she is entered.

3. Guest Competitors: None.

4. Club/School Colours must be worn.


  • U13 Boys and Girls: Aged 11 on day of race, or aged 12 on 31 Aug 21
  • U15 Boys and Girls: Aged 13 or 14 on 31 Aug 21
  • U17 Men and Women: Aged 15 or 16 on 31 Aug 21
  • U20 Men and Women Aged at least 17 and under 20 on 31 Aug 21

Hengistbury Head Hustle 2022

Hengistbury Head Hustle – Sunday, January  23rd 2022

This training event is open to all. The route will use the promenade, perfect for those in training for a spring Marathon. Maps will be available.

The coach will leave The Junction Leisure Centre, Broadstone at 8:40 am. It will drop off runners at Hengistbury Head and Boscombe pier.

A support car will be en route.  There will be a “refreshment point” in the region of Shore Rd.  Details later.

START AT:- Hengistbury Head

  • 20 mile run – Round the Head, Promenade, Poole Park, Holes Bay, Upton Park, Trailway, Broadstone.
  • 16 mile run – Promenade, Poole Park, Holes Bay, Upton Park, Trailway, Broadstone.

START AT:- Boscombe Pier

  • 13 mile run – Boscombe Pier, Promenade, Poole Park, Holes Bay, Upton Park, Trailway, Broadstone.
  • 10 mile run- As above but turn right up New Road from Holes Bay (by MacDonald’s) back to Broadstone.

Distances are approximate and you can make your mind up on the day which distances to run.  Route maps will be available.

Cost is just £5:50 to include  ( if arrangements can be made with the Junction) tea/ coffee at Broadstone on your return. ( subject to arrangement with the new concession)

Upton Summer Series 2022

Senior Races (six races)   May 4th, May 25th, June 22nd, July 13th, July 27th and August 10th

Junior Race ( six races ) May 4th, May 25th, June 22nd, July 13th, July 27th and August 10th                   

Race Arrangements for 2022

  • All entries will be online with a single payment for all six races.
  •  Where possible numbers will be  distributed  via local Clubs with the remainder to be collected at Race One
  • Numbers will be issued in anticipated time ascending order.
  • Sorry, No entries on the night. 
  • We have booked chip timing to allow for “Grand Prix” style starts. (Senior Race only)
  • The chip and number must be kept for all 6 races, unfortunately, it will not be possible to replace lost or forgotten chips on the night.
  • You will NOT be able to swap chips or numbers between runners.
  •  The Junior Races will be manually timed.
