Couch To 5K – Spring 2026

Have you always wanted to start running, but you don’t know where to begin? Start now by joining our highly successful Couch to 5k programme.

Start Date – Monday 30th March 2026, for 10 weeks.
Time and Venue – 6.30 pm outside The Kitchen in Poole Park
Fee – £25 for the whole program (includes entry to the Poole Festival of Running 5k relays, subject to event confirmation, PLUS a C25k T-shirt).
Age Limit: 18 (13+ if accompanied by a parent)

Upton Summer Series 2026

ENTRIES WILL OPEN AT  9am ON 1st JAN 

Competitors’ details will be published regularly on both Poole Runners  and Timing Monkey  websites, please check that your details are correct.

Race Dates are: 6th May,  27th May, 17th June, 8th July,  29th July and 19th August.

Senior Races:  Age 14 plus on May 6th 2026
Junior Race: Age 4 years plus and max 13 years on May 6th 

Race Arrangements for 2026

  • All entries will be online with a single payment for all six races.
  •  Both Senior and Junior Races will  be chip timed.
  •  Where possible numbers will be  distributed  via local Clubs with the remainder to be collected at Race One.
  • Sorry, no entries on the night. 
  • The chip and number must be kept for all 6 races, unfortunately, it will not be possible to replace lost or forgotten chips on the night.
  • You will NOT be able to swap chips or numbers between runners.

COST

Seniors Race Series  £29  (plus extra £2 for non Club runners) i.e. less than £5 per race for a chip timed event!

Juniors Race Series  £14  i.e. just over £2 per race for a chip timed  event

Seniors Road Mile 2026

Tuesday 19th  May 2026

This is a Senior’s Club championship (Road) event and points will be allocated in the usual way.  There will be a social in the nearby “Shar of Persia” after the race with small trophies be presented .

The event will have  a full UKA road race licence and times will be posted on “Power of 10”  national age group rankings

  • This event is only open to Poole Runners  members aged 14+ years, as of 19th May 2026
  •  No guest entries ( unless by special agreement.)  
  •  Start Time: 7:00 pm (first heat)
  • Location:  Poole Park (Cricket Pitch)
  • Cost:  Just £4. We have to charge a fee due to Park Fees, Pavilion hire, Council Fees, Trophy costs and UKA licence are all increasing.
  • Only open to UK Athletics registered runners.

Corfe Mullen Carnival 5km and Junior 1 mile fun runs

Tuesday 16th June 2026

On line entries  will close at noon on the 13th June

All information and conditions of entry are shown on the Carnival Run website  ( 2026 will be the same as 2025  http://www.cm5k.co.uk/index.htm

By entering the event participant are deemed to have read these conditions. However please note the following:

  1. Participants in the 5 km race must be fourteen years of age or over on the 16th June 2026
  2. Participants in the Junior 1 mile race must be ages eight to thirteen years (inclusive) on race day.
  3. Entry from participants under the age of eighteen by a parent/guardian.
  4. The event will take place at the Corfe Mullen Recreation ground located in Badbury View Road Corfe Mullen Dorset BH21 3HU.
  5. There is ample free parking on site.
  6. Race Numbers are to be collected on the night from the race HQ located at the sports Pavilion.

The fees will be as follows:

Registration fee 5K (adults aged 14 years and older)   £8

Registration fee Children’s 1 mile (Juniors aged 8 to 13 years)  £5
