First Aid Course 2026

For Poole Runners members only.

Wednesday 11th February 2026, 18.30 -21.30 at the Junction.

Course will be a three hour course covering basic First Aid techniques including CPR. There will be a certificate for attendees. Min attendees 4 maximum number of attendees 14.

Open to all Poole Runner members over the age of 18.

Bar Food “AGM night”

Bar Food at the AGM on 25th Feb 2026  

For those who are attending the AGM on the 25th  of Feb at the Junction,  the café franchise is offering a selection of bar snacks.  For the AGM cost to members is just £6.  The standard café  price is £8, your Club is subsiding, please support.  However  these do need to be pre-ordered,  no payment is needed at this stage. Payment is direct to the café on collection of your selected choice. Food and drinks  will be available  in the bar from 8:00pm.

Please make your selection from:

  • Chicken Burger & Chips
  • Sausage & Chips
  • Scampi & Chips
  • Vegan Burger & Chips
  • Chicken kebab, rice & salsa

On arrival at The Junction bar, simply go to the food order point and give your name and pay £6  ( The standard café  price is £8, your Club is subsiding, please support) .

Your food will be delivered to your table.

Hengistbury Head Hustle 2026

Hengistbury Head Hustle 

Sunday 8th March

This training event is open to all. The route will use the promenade, perfect for those in training for London, Paris or any spring Marathon. Maps will be available.

The coach will leave The Junction Leisure Centre, Broadstone at 8:35 am. It will drop off runners at Hengistbury Head and Boscombe pier.

There will be a “refreshment point” in the region of Shore Rd.  Details later:

START AT: Hengistbury Head. Distances below are approximant .

  • 20-mile run – Round the Head, Promenade, Poole Park, Holes Bay, Upton Park, Trailway, Broadstone.
  • 16-mile run – Promenade, Poole Park, Holes Bay, Upton Park, Trailway, Broadstone.

START AT: Boscombe Pier

  • 13-mile run – Boscombe Pier, Promenade, Poole Park, Holes Bay, Upton Park, Trailway, Broadstone.
  • 11-mile run – As above but turn right up New Road from Holes Bay (by MacDonald’s) back to Broadstone.

Distances are approximate and you can make your mind up on the day which distances to run.  Route maps will be available.

Cost is just £6:00 and is subsidised by the Club

Upton Summer Series 2026

ENTRIES WILL OPEN AT  9am ON 1st JAN 

Competitors’ details will be published regularly on both Poole Runners  and Timing Monkey  websites, please check that your details are correct.

Race Dates are: 6th May,  27th May, 17th June, 8th July,  29th July and 19th August.

Senior Races:  Age 14 plus on May 6th 2026
Junior Race: Age 4 years plus and max 13 years on May 6th 

Race Arrangements for 2026

  • All entries will be online with a single payment for all six races.
  •  Both Senior and Junior Races will  be chip timed.
  •  Where possible numbers will be  distributed  via local Clubs with the remainder to be collected at Race One.
  • Sorry, no entries on the night. 
  • The chip and number must be kept for all 6 races, unfortunately, it will not be possible to replace lost or forgotten chips on the night.
  • You will NOT be able to swap chips or numbers between runners.

COST

Seniors Race Series  £29  (plus extra £2 for non Club runners) i.e. less than £5 per race for a chip timed event!

Juniors Race Series  £14  i.e. just over £2 per race for a chip timed  event
